Creative health
Creativity is not optional—it’s necessary for healthy survival. Everyone is creative, even if they don’t identify as “artistic.” Creativity includes writing, movement, problem-solving, music, design, cooking, storytelling, and imaginative thinking.
When creativity has no outlet, people often feel pent up, on edge, or restless. The nervous system needs expression, not just control. Creative expression allows energy to move instead of getting trapped in the body as tension or irritability.
Balance matters here. Overproducing without rest can be just as dysregulating as suppressing creativity entirely. Healthy creative expression is about flow, not pressure. When creativity is supported, stress softens and people often feel more like themselves again.
